My name is Jasmine Brooks, I am 27 and a multi-disciplinary artist. Originally born in Los Angeles, California, grew up in East, Texas than relocated to Houston, making the city my home since 2012.
I seek to convey feelings and themes of solitude, transformation, imagination, curiosity and self-acceptance, with the subjects of hard-edge and free form shapes, sillhouettes of people and interior scenery in vivid color. Using acrylic paint, fabric, paper and digital media.
My mission is to create series of work in my unique style while also incorporating my inspiration of the vintage, minimilistic and abstract art era, keeping it relevant and remembered. I intend to create visuals that reflect me continuously embodying my creative journey, life experiences and imagination. And, to positively inspire and influence other creatives to prioritize and exercise their passions and gifts.
